The site plan shows the most notable features of the site. Over the years the Friends of Ram Hill Colliery have done much to repair and conserve the site. To see a menu and pictures of work done in each year, hover over the word ‘Gallery’ in the black banner above.
The site was rediscovered in 1981 by John Cornwell. A YOP project started some excavation c. 1984. At that time, the site showed a large bank of excavated earth and the outlines of some of the buildings.
